My name is Nigel, G0BPK is my Amateur Radio Callsign.
I was first licensed in 1985 as G1JCZ, and after passing the 12 wpm Morse test gained the full license. I am a member of the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) and my local radio club, Pontefract & District ARS. I have WAC and DXCC certificates and am now just 2 states (Mississippi & Wyoming) short of the Worked All States (WAS) award.
I am also interested in Letterboxing, a cross between orienteering and a treasure hunt. I am a member of the Dartmoor Letterboxes 100 club and also maintain the list of clues for Yorkshire Letterboxes.
Having retired in 2009 after almost 40 years in the National Health Service as a Biomedical Scientist I now have more time for hobbies, etc. (I hope!)
